Course summary:

• To explore common barriers to effective communication in EOLC in the community, including managing expectations, communicating ‘normal dying’ and effective note writing.
• To explore the use of syringe drivers and ‘Just in Case’ (JIC) medicine; how and when to start these processes, common conversation barriers related to these areas.
• To suggest management methods to overcome some of these difficulties via sim workshops based on real life scenarios
