The Care and Treatment of Older People with Dementia in a general Hospital Setting guidance.

This guidance has been produced to assist clinicians in routinely screening older patients for dementia and to develop appropriate plans of care and treatment to manage this condition during their inpatient hospital stay and in preparation for discharge. This guidance is applicable for all older patients with any form of cognitive impairment. Much of this guidance will also be relevant to younger age patients with dementia.
