What to Expect in the Last Days of Life

The aims of this booklet are to give families and carers an understanding of what to expect when someone close to them is dying.

It will explain the physical changes the dying person will experience, as well as how to support the symptoms of dying. It also offers advice about where to seek help with any questions or practical needs that the person may have.

This booklet has been created by the Somerset End of Life Care Education Team in conjunction with Somerset Foundation NHS Trust, St Margaret's Hospice, Dorothy House Hospice and Weston Hospice Care.
